Mary Murray, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute
Mary has been an art museum professional for more than 25 years. As curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute she has organized more than 50 exhibitions and has written, among other titles, four collection catalogues: on 20th-century American watercolors, 20th-century American drawings, 20th-century European painting and sculpture, and on the Edward W. Root bequest of 227 paintings and works on paper created between 1902-55 and donated to MWP in 1957.
Mary speaks regularly on American art of the 20th and 21st centuries at professional conferences, museum gallery talks, and public lectures.
